Our Top 10 things to do to really experience the Ionian Islands

Of course we aren’t publishing everything but here is a selection of ideas ­čÖé

  1. Stop in one of Ithaca’s stunning anchorages, set your anchor and wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Ionian Islands
  2. Take a walk around Kalamos, surrounded by Pine Trees and stop for a quick dip in one of the many remote beaches
  3.  Spend an evening in a bay to yourselves star gazing in the middle of nowhere. Maybe head ashore by tender to your own secluded beach for a nightcap!
  4. ┬áVisit at least one harbor to go gift shopping. There are so many small boutiques to choose from with very unique home made crafts – perfect for the souvenir shopping
  5. Take a late afternoon sail between the islands – it’s the most beautiful time of day and best sailing when everyone else is in the harbor – calm seas and great wind
  6. Visit a winery – there are quite a few to choose from!
  7. Jump of a cliff into the water or snorkel through a cave or tunnel – don’t worry – we can recommend the best ones!
  8. Greek Dancing in a local taverna
  9.  Take a drive around any island. No need to go anywhere specific but see some view tops, meet some locals and relax for the afternoon
  10. Watersports! The water is flat – its perfect conditions!
